Dr Ahmet Köse was born in Adıyaman in 1974. He completed his primary education in Adıyaman and his secondary education at Gaziantep Cumhuriyet High School. He graduated from Istanbul University Çapa Faculty of Medicine in 1998.

After passing the Medical Specialisation Examination, he completed his specialisation training in Paediatrics at the Bakırköy Women's and Children's Hospital of the Turkish Ministry of Health.

While working as a paediatrician in the public sector, he passed the Medical Subspecialty Training Examination and completed his specialisation training in the Department of Paediatric Cardiology at Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University Faculty of Medicine.

He worked as a Paediatric Cardiology Specialist at Adıyaman University Faculty of Medicine for two years. After working for five years at Gaziantep Cengiz Gökçek Women's and Children's Hospital, he left to serve his patients at his private practice in Gaziantep.

Married with three children, Specialist Dr Ahmet Köse's professional interests include.

  • Diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of congenital heart diseases (heart defects, vascular stenosis and heart valve problems)
  • Diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of acquired heart diseases (acute rheumatic fever, Kawasaki disease, etc.)
  • Diagnosis and follow-up of cardiac arrhythmias (tachycardia-bradycardia) (using ECG, 24-hour Holter rhythm recording, and exercise testing) and their treatment
  • Pre-sports cardiac health assessment
  • Foetal echocardiography (examination of the baby's heart in the womb)
