Dr Ahmet Köse, Assistant Professor, was born in Adıyaman in 1974. He completed his primary education in Adıyaman and his secondary education at Gaziantep Cumhuriyet High School. He graduated from the Çapa Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul University, in 1998.

Having passed the Specialisation Examination in Medicine, he undertook his specialisation training in Paediatrics at the Bakırköy Hospital for Obstetrics and Paediatrics, under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey.

Whilst working as a paediatrician in the public sector, he passed the Subspecialty Training Examination and undertook his subspecialty training in Paediatric Cardiology at the Department of Paediatric Cardiology, Faculty of Medicine, Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University.

He worked as a paediatric cardiologist at the Faculty of Medicine, Adıyaman University, for two years. After leaving the Gaziantep Cengiz Gökçek Obstetrics and Paediatrics Hospital, where he had worked for five years, he provided care to his patients at his private practice in Gaziantep.

Dr Ahmet Köse, Assistant Professor, is married with three children. His professional areas of interest are:

Diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of congenital heart diseases (heart defects, vascular stenosis and heart valve problems)

Diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of acquired heart diseases (acute rheumatic fever, Kawasaki disease, etc.).

Diagnosis and monitoring (using ECG, 24-hour Holter rhythm recording and exercise testing) and treatment of cardiac. arrhythmias (tachycardia and bradycardia).

Pre-sport cardiac health assessment.

Foetal echocardiography (examination of the baby’s heart in the womb).
