Bülent MEŞE

He was born in Afşin, Kahramanmaraş, in 1971. He graduated from Afşin High School in 1989 and from the Faculty of Medicine at Çukurova University in 1996; he completed his specialist training in Cardiovascular Surgery at the same faculty in 2002.

Having gained experience in adult cardiac surgery as well as peripheral vascular surgery and paediatric cardiac surgery, Prof. Dr Meşe worked at a private hospital in Adana from March 2002 to November 2003, at SANKO University Hospital from December 2003 to May 2005, and at the Cardiac and Vascular Surgery Clinic of Kahramanmaraş State Hospital from June 2005 –October 2011 at the Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic of Kahramanmaraş State Hospital, where he served as the founding and head consultant of the Cardiac Surgery Clinic, and from November 2011 until 2017 as a lecturer in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University.

Prof. Dr. Meşe, who serves as a reviewer for national and international journals and has supervised two specialist theses, is a member of the Turkish Society of Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery and the National Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery.

Having commenced seeing patients at the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at SANKO University Hospital as of November 2021, Prof. Dr Bülent Meşe is married with three children and has a good command of English.
