Mehtap AKDOĞAN

Born in Ankara in 1977, Assoc. Dr. Mehtap Akdoğan graduated from TED Ankara College in 1994 and from Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine in 2001.

Having completed his Specialization Training in the Field of Nephrology at Başkent University Ankara Hospital in January 2014, Assoc. Dr. Akdoğan received the title of Associate Professor in March 2018, after his Assistant Professor training at Başkent University Faculty of Medicine. Assoc. Dr. Akdoğan is married and has three daughters.

Professional and Administrative Experience
Assoc. Dr. Between 2014 and 2017, Akdoğan worked as a faculty member in the Department of Nephrology at Ankara Baskent University Faculty of Medicine, and as a faculty member in the Department of Nephrology at Gaziantep University Faculty of Medicine between 2018 and 2020, and as the Director of Organ Transplantation Clinic.

During his tenure at Başkent University Faculty of Medicine, Assoc. Dr. Akdoğan conducted academic studies and animal experiments on these patients. He has written many articles in these fields in international journals.

Also interested in complementary medicine practices, Assoc. Dr. Akdoğan has aromatherapy and phytotherapy training certificates.

A member of the Turkish Nephrology Association, European Nephrology Association and World Nephrology Association, Assoc. Dr. Akdoğan is a referee for many journals published abroad.

Assoc. Dr. Since September 2020, Akdoğan has started accepting patients in the Department of Internal Medicine, Department of Nephrology at SANKO University Hospital.
