Assoc. Prof. started accepting patients at SANKO University Hospital again as of September 2023. Dr. Ulutaş has a special interest in microsurgery treatments of brain tumors, cerebrovascular diseases (Aneurysm: Bubble and AVM: Arteriovenous Malformation), trigeminal neuralgia and spine diseases (lumbar, cervical disc herniation and spinal canal stenosis). He has many clinical and anatomical studies on these subjects published in prestigious domestic and international journals.

The surgical technique he developed without opening the skull, especially in the surgical treatment of aneurysms, was awarded at the national congress and was published in the most prestigious international magazine and became the cover story. Thanks to the increased experience with this intervention, patients can undergo surgery more comfortably. The same technique can also be applied in the surgical treatment of suitable tumors. Brain tumors that are not suitable for this surgical technique can be performed with microsurgical techniques, and pituitary tumors can be performed with a closed method through the nose without opening the skull.

Assoc. Dr. Ulutaş is also intensely interested in relieving stressed nerve tissues with microsurgery, without using implants (screws, platinum, etc.) in the surgical treatment of lumbar and neck hernias and spinal canal stenosis.
