Pathology and Cytology Laboratory

Cervicovaginal smear (Pap Smear), cytological (cellular) examinations, biopsy of organs and examination of surgical materials are performed in our laboratory. These often include cervical (cervix) biopsies, curettage specimens, and examinations of surgically removed organs such as the uterus, endoscopic stomach, colon and the entire digestive system, skin, prostate, breast, intestine, gallbladder, appendix and thyroid.

Modern techniques and devices are used in our laboratory, and special staining methods for diagnosis are applied in cases deemed necessary.

Investigation reporting is done within one or two working days for most cases.

CYTOLOGICAL EXAMINATIONS:

- Cervicovaginal Smear (Pap smear): Classical Smearing Method

- Body Fluids, Secretions: Pleura, Abdomen, Sputum, Urine, etc.

- Brush (with Brush): Bronchial, BAL, Endocervical, etc.

- Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy: Breast, Thyroid, Lymph node, etc.
