He was born in 1947 in Adıyaman. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Adıyaman. He graduated from Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine in 1973. In the same year, he started his specialization in Pediatric Surgery at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. In 1979, as a Pediatric Surgeon Specialist, Ankara Dr. He worked as a chief assistant at Sami Ulus Children's Hospital. Later, he started to work in Gaziantep as the first pediatric surgeon in Southeastern Anatolia. Since 1981, he has worked in Gaziantep SSK, state and children's hospitals for 25 years, respectively.

He has been working as a Pediatric Surgery Specialist at SANKO University Hospital since 2006. He is married and has 3 children.
