Prof. Dr.
Pelin ÖZYOL

He was born in Kilis in 1980. He completed his medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine between 1998-2004 and his Ophthalmology residency at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology between 2005-2010.

After his compulsory service, he started his academic life as an assistant professor at Muğla University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology. In 2015, he completed his education on "Corneal Diseases and Corneal Transplantation" at Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology, and received the "Ministry of Health Eye Bank Medical Manager Qualification Certificate".

He was awarded the title of "Associate Professor" in 2017 and the title of "FEBO" in 2018 by successfully passing the "European Board of Ophthalmology" exam held in Paris/France.

As of May 2018, Assoc. Dr. Özyol also serves as the Head of the Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine, SANKO University.

Assoc. Dr. Özyol has more than 50 articles published in national and international indexed ophthalmology journals and received numerous references, author of ophthalmology book chapters, numerous papers presented at national and international ophthalmology congresses, invited speaker, session chair and trainer. He also works as a consultant and consultant editor in national and international ophthalmology journals.

He is a member of Turkish Ophthalmology Association, TOD Cataract and Refractive Surgery Unit, European Cataract and Refractive Surgery Association. Dr. Özyol's main areas of interest are corneal diseases, corneal transplantation, cataract surgery and glaucoma.

Assoc. Dr. Özyol is married and has 2 children.
