Neonatal surgery is one of the areas we care about. Pre- and post-operative, follow-up and treatment of this group of patients are carried out meticulously in our neonatal intensive care unit in cooperation with a pediatrician and pediatric surgeon.
Day Surgery:
The operations of diseases such as inguinal hernia, cord cyst, hydrocele, undescended testis and hypospadias, circumcision are performed in the form of day surgery without hospitalization of the patients. Our patients are given an appointment for surgery after being examined in the polyclinic, and the patients who are called to our polyclinic one day before the surgery are called to our polyclinic, and the necessary blood tests are performed before the surgery and they are examined by anesthesiologists. Our patients who are hospitalized on the morning of the operation are discharged on the same day after the operation.
Neonatal Surgery:
Surgical treatment of congenital anomalies of the newborn regarding the trachea, lungs, esophagus, gastrointestinal system, liver-biliary tract, reproductive and urinary tract is performed. Among these diseases, cystic or solid formations that take up space in the lungs and exert pressure on the trachea and lungs, diaphragmatic hernias, esophageal atresia where the esophagus is not fully developed, duodenum and other intestinal obstructions in which a part of the intestines are not developed, anorectal malformations in which the anus is closed, near the navel in the abdominal wall “Gastroschisis” and “omphalocele” cases, which we can describe as the intestines coming out of the abdomen through a hole, pyloric stenosis manifested by severe vomiting due to narrowing of the gastric outlet, and neonatal tumoral diseases are the most common ones.
Endoscopic Surgery:
In our clinic, all closed method (endoscopic) pediatric surgery operations applied in the world are performed.
